WhoisXML API technical announcements

This is the broadcast channel of WhoisXML API technical announcements. Events such as the release of a new quarterly WHOIS database or the availability or revision of a downloadable data file are announced here.

The data structure is the same for the RSS and JSON entries, we describe the JSON in what follows.

The recommended way of using the JSON announcement feed is to poll the file regularly and filter for the product you are interested in.

This example gives the notification of the Quarterly gTLD WHOIS database v53 release was released on 2025-09-01T19:35:24Z.
