“We are honored to be recognized on this year’s Inc. 5000 and especially proud to rank No. 81 in Security. Continuous Improvement for a Safer Online Environment

WhoisXML API has been in the business of providing Internet intelligence for nearly two decades. What started as a project aimed at breaking down the silos of WHOIS data gathering has grown into an OEM data provider specializing in the delivery of well-parsed, normalized, and comprehensive WHOIS, IP, and DNS intelligence.

Over the years, we have expanded our data repositories, supported the development of modern cyber solutions, and continually adapted to the evolving technology and cybersecurity landscape. Here are some of the projects and improvements we have introduced in 2026:

  • Faster and more reliable WHOIS data: We upgraded WHOIS API to deliver faster real-time lookups, more complete responses, and cleaner structured data, while giving users more control over data freshness and retrieval protocols. Real-time retrieval is now 2x faster on average, helping users access dependable domain registration data more efficiently.
  • More accurate disposable email detection: We improved the Disposable Email Domains Database with a new machine learning detection model that reaches 99% tested detection precision. The upgrade helps users identify disposable email domains more confidently while reducing the likelihood of legitimate domains being incorrectly flagged.
  • Broader and fuller newly registered domain data: We expanded our Newly Registered Domains data feed to provide roughly 1.5x–2x more domain events, along with fuller registration records and higher-confidence dropped-domain signals. The improvements give users broader and more reliable visibility into changes across the domain landscape.
  • More precise and time-aware IP intelligence: We introduced Geospatial IP Intelligence to provide more granular and dynamic location intelligence than traditional IP geolocation. With 673M+ unique location records for individual IPs and location changes tracked over time, the data can support more informed fraud detection, risk scoring, and security workflows.
